Description

It is an important task in the PTE Writing section, as well as in the entire PTE test. The writing part is integrated into Part 1 of the PTE test, which is Speaking and Writing. You have about 60 minutes to complete it. It requires you to summarize 150 to 200 words into a single sentence of 5 to 75 words using a fixed amount of time of 10 minutes. The time saved will not be added to any other task or section.
The PTE Summarize Written Text task requires you to develop your overall English skills. While we provide you with tips on how to improve, you still need to put in a good amount of effort to master those tips. The task has one to two questions overall, and you have to compose a complex sentence using compound structures. To be successful, you need to be a good reader and should also be able to take notes while you read the text. In case you are having trouble, we provide you with a Summarize Written Text Template.
